Dawn Miller-McTaggart is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Indo-Pacific Affairs. She received her PhD in Political Science at the University of Canterbury, Master of Arts in Political Science at The Pennsylvania State University, and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of North Texas. Dawn’s research focuses on how political institutions affect political behaviour. A central focus of her research is how external states and actors affect the domestic institutions of other states and the implications of those interactions on human rights provision, democracy, policy, and polity survival.
